“Can the world bring the real criminals to justice?” Zelensky takes the comment as a witness on Instagram
The President of Ukraine has published a new post on Instagram. “The eyes of all occupation movements and political regimes in the world are now on what Russia is doing to us,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Instagram on Saturday.
“Can the world bring the real war criminals to justice?” He wonders, and warns that failure to do so risks “hundreds of other attacks”.
Ukrainian players trained in England
The first group of Ukrainian soldiers has arrived in the United Kingdom for training as part of London’s support for Kiev after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the British government announced on Saturday.
“This ambitious new training program is the next step in the UK’s support for Ukraine’s armed forces in their fight against Russian aggression,” UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said in a statement.
Thanks to the “expertise” of the British military, “we will help Ukraine rebuild its forces and intensify its resistance to defend its country’s sovereignty and its right to choose its own future,” said the minister attending the exercise this week.
According to the Ministry of Defence, 1,050 British soldiers are mobilized for the event, which takes place at military bases in the north-west, south-west and south-east of the United Kingdom.
Each course, which lasts several weeks, will “provide volunteer recruits with little or no experience of the skills to be effective in front-line combat,” British Defense noted in a press release. This includes weapons handling, first aid, field techniques, patrolling and the law of armed conflict.
Rocket launchers and snipers: US plans new military aid to Ukraine
The US has promised Kiev new military aid, including powerful rocket launchers and sniper shells.
According to a senior Pentagon official, the $400 million in new U.S. military aid — which includes four Himars multiple rocket systems and 155mm shells — will improve Ukraine’s capabilities to target weapons depots and the Russian military’s supply chain.
6 people were killed and 21 injured in the Donetsk region in 24 hours.
After four and a half months of war in Ukraine, the Russian military continues its “relentless” bombing of the Donetsk region.
“The entire front line is under constant shelling,” regional governor Pavlo Kyrilenko said Friday evening. “They are constantly shelling in the direction of Donetsk… Pakmud is being shelled, Sloviansk is being shelled day and night, Kramadorsk…”, he added in a telegram.
Earlier in the day, Pavlo Kyrilenko announced that six people had died and 21 were injured in the region’s bombings in 24 hours.
