The battle for the top of Group F in the Champions League last night was explosively electrifying.
The supercharged atmosphere at the Etihad was instrumental to Manchester City’s 2-1 triumph over Italian giants Napoli.
Manchester City’s key midfielder Kevin De Bruyne who has been in fine form this season was involved in a skirmish with fellow teammate David Silva.
However, De Bruyne has dumbed down the rhetoric that spawned from the confrontation he had with teammate David Silva.
De Bruyne made to speak to the 4th official, before teammates Silva and Fernadinho pulled him away as both teams approached the tunnel at half-time.
De Bruyne was caught on camera screaming “let me talk” at Silva when Silva urged him to “let the matter slide.”
Fights Are Normal
Confronted about his skirmish with Silva at full time, De Bruyne said that it was normal for misunderstanding to arise between teammates.
He also said that his halftime skirmish with Silva wasn’t anything to fuss about.
He also said that this sort of arguments creeps up on the homefront, and after a few seconds the matter dies down.
He said sometimes it’s good to have a misunderstanding in a team; this situation helps to improve the team’s quality.
It’s a situation that arises when worlds collide, so it’s nothing to fuss over, he implied.
Manchester City remains top of Group F as goals from Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling, secured a slim 2-1 win over resilient Napoli at the Etihad. Manchester city is now 3 points clear of Shakhtar Donetsk who sits pretty at second place.
