Amazon’s description of the novel

Amazon describes the book, portraying Ove as a man who sees people he dislikes as burglars caught just outside the windows to his bedroom, He has strict principles and routines, and people address him as the bitter neighbour from hell. But Ove doesn’t have to be bitter because he goes around without a smile on his face. Afterall, there is sadness and a story behind the cranky exterior.

A friendly young couple with two chatty female kids move in next door on one November morning, and suddenly flatten Ove’s mailbox, made the whole thing into a heartwarming and comical story of unexpected friendship, unkempt cats and the vintage art of backing up a U-Haul. All of which will alter one old man the association with local residents to their foundations.
