Burt Reynolds, the celebrated actor, has his fans worried after he appeared on the red carpet looking very weak. Everyone is wondering if the beloved actor is feeling okay.

Frail looking super star:

Reynolds, 81, known for his role in Smokey and the Bandit went to the Tribeca Film Festival to promote his coming movie with his friend Robert De Niro as well as co-star Chevy Chase. Reynolds had a cane to help him walk. While to answer reporters’ questions on the red carpet, assistants brought him a chair for him to sit down.

Reynolds said: “Great to see Mr. De Niro, who I love, and… you know, all the people that I know. It’s very sweet.”

In his latest movie, called “Dog Days” Reynolds portrays a movie star who’s aging. Art imitates life imitates art, and the irony isn’t lost on Reynolds. He said to reporters: “I guess I’m doing all right. I think because it’s a hell of a turnout.”

Since he started his career in the movie business in the early 1960s, Reynolds starred in dozens of movies. But due to recent health issues, which included a 2009 back surgery and a 2010 quintuple bypass surgery, he limited his appearances.

Swirling rumors:

The frail appearance of Burt Reynolds in the photos published from the Tribeca Film Festival will definitely make tabloids talk and scrutinize his frail health by publishing several stories about his failing health.

However, while his current look is far different from his macho man look that he was known for during the ’70s and ’80s, it could just be a sign of aging, he is 81 years old after all.

Also, despite all the rumors going around about his health, Reynolds is still working, he has three projects in the pipe. As long as he is healthy enough to keep on working, his fans will definitely stop worrying.
