Mark Zuckerberg announced the pregnancy of his wife, pediatrician Dr. Priscilla Chan, as the couple is now expecting a new baby on the way.

The co-founder and CEO of Facebook and his wife are expecting a girl is expecting. The pair currently have a daughter, 15-month-old Max.

Zuckerberg, 32, the man behind the social media craze is worth about $58 billion. He posted onto his own Facebook page: “Priscilla and I are happy to share we’re expecting another baby girl!

Past Miscarriages:

“After our difficult experience having Max we weren’t sure what to expect or whether we’d be able to have another child. When Priscilla and I first found out she was pregnant again our first hope was that the child would be healthy.

“My next hope was that it would be a girl. I cannot think of a greater gift than having a sister and I’m so happy Max and our new child will have each other.”

Back in 2015, Zuckerberg described the suffering he and his loving wife endured after multiple miscarriages, and called for a more open discussion on the touchy subject.

He talked about the miscarriages as being a “lonely experience” that people need to discuss more.

Excitement:

As he announced the most recent pregnancy, he stated: “We can’t wait to welcome our new little one and do our best to raise another strong woman.

“I grew up with three sisters and they taught me to learn from smart, strong women. They weren’t just my sisters but some of my best friends.

“We are all better people because of the strong women in our lives – sisters, mothers and friends.”

Zuckerberg uploaded photos of himself along with his wide as kids with their own siblings in his announcement Facebook post.

He also added: “Priscilla grew up with two sisters and they taught her the importance of family, caring for others and hard work.

“They have so many inside jokes, the kind only siblings can understand.”
