Christmas is a special time of year; it’s the time of year when everyone shows love to each other whether it is friends or families or maybe even a lonely stranger on the street. Not to be outdone, this Christmas was a very special one for the fans of Actress Carrie Fisher. The special gift was granted to the fans of the renowned actress who were anxiously waiting for an update on the Hollywood actress’s health condition.
The much-anticipated news came by way of her mother, Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds who took to Twitter to give an update about her daughter’s current condition.
On Sunday, December 25, Reynolds tweeted that her daughter was in stable condition and promised to give further updates if there were any changes. She also thanked all her fans and well wishers for their love and support. The Star Wars actress as previously reported had suffered a cardiac arrest during her flight from London to Los Angeles, California. A close friend who was traveling with Fisher stated that the actress had complained of severe pain in her chest area before she went into cardiac arrest.
She was attended by the flight crew and her co-passengers as the flight was approaching (LAX) Los Angeles International Airport. Fisher suffered cardiac arrest during her flight and was further attended to by paramedics who were made available once the plane touched down. The Los Angeles Fire Department was also on hand and was in charge the entire situation.
The actress received life-saving medical care as she was swiftly taken to the UCLA medical center. The update was provided by LA fire department who were in charge of the whole situation.
A further update from her brother Todd Fisher stated that his sister would spend Christmas in the intensive care unit at UCLA, and the family hopes for a speedy recovery.
